Dalton Miller Obituary – York Township OH Car Accident Death: Beloved Resident has Died In A Fatal Crash

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio — The West Lafayette community is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of Dalton Miller, 24, who was killed Monday afternoon in a devastating head-on collision on Stonecreek Road in York Township. Miller’s unexpected passing has left family, friends, and neighbors struggling to come to terms with a life cut tragically short.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s New Philadelphia Post, troopers were dispatched at approximately 1:13 p.m. after reports of a serious two-vehicle crash. Investigators determined that Miller was driving a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis southbound when the vehicle traveled left of center and struck a northbound Toyota Highlander head-on. The violent impact caused the Highlander to veer off the roadway and collide with a guardrail. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in Miller’s vehicle, 21, also from West Lafayette, was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with injuries that have not been publicly released. Authorities confirmed that both occupants of the Mercury were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The Toyota was driven by a 33-year-old woman from New Philadelphia, who was also hospitalized with injuries, and her 2-year-old son was treated at the scene before being released to a family member. Both were properly restrained, according to troopers.

Dalton Miller is remembered by those who knew him as a kind, caring, and vibrant young man whose presence brightened the lives of family and friends. Loved ones describe him as dependable, compassionate, and full of energy, always willing to lend a hand or share a smile. His sudden passing has left a profound void in the community, and neighbors and classmates alike are expressing sorrow and disbelief at the tragedy.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In the meantime, family, friends, and the West Lafayette community are coming together to honor Miller’s memory, sharing stories, sending condolences, and offering support to those most affected.

Funeral and memorial arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days. Dalton Miller’s life, though tragically brief, left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the joy he brought into the lives of everyone around him—a legacy that will endure despite the sorrow of his passing.
